The Delhi Government, on Saturday, took an innovative step and announced the launch of Urban Leaders Fellowship Program. The main aim of the program is to attract the young leaders across the nation to work alongside Delhi Government to address urban challenges.
“Thrilled to announce the launch of Delhi CM’s Urban Leaders Fellowship Program. If you’re young professional, under 35 yrs age, have a dream to contribute for India, we invite you to work with us in #DelhiGovernanceRevolution,” tweeted Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
After selection, candidates will be assigned to work alongside ministers or senior officials from the fields of Education, Health, Water, Environment, Transport, etc.
Fellows will receive remuneration of Rs. 1,25,000 per month and for associates it will be INR 75,000. A total of 30 vacant positions have been announced by the government out of which 10 are for associate fellows.
Graduates with a minimum of 5-years work experience (full-time) can apply and candidates with Ph.D. need to have one year of work experience. Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries are also eligible to apply.
For the associate fellowship, graduates with one-year work experience can apply. CA and CS with one-year post-registration work are also eligible for the associate fellowship post.
The last date to apply for the CMULF is November 4 and candidates can visit the official website -- cmulf.dtu.ac.in -- to apply for the same.
'Delhi government has received global acclaims for its policies, be it the transformation of government schools, the introduction of Happiness curriculum in schools, provision of high-quality primary health care at mohalla clinics, 24X7 electricity provided at lowest tariff in India and home delivery of government services,' said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
