Overview (Introduction begins here!!)
Periyar Maniammai University Entrance Test is well known as PMUET. PMUET is the under graduate entrance examination which is conducted by Periyar Maniammai University. Candidates who are willing to get their graduation degree in 3 Year & 4 Year B.Tech & 5 Year B.Arch courses are supposed to give PMUET entrance examination. The university will be conducting Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015 Entrance Examination on April 26, 2015. There are a total of 1200 seats for B.Tech and B.Arch candidates

Eligibility Criteria (Do you have it in you!!)
For Bachelor’s Programmes
Candidates need to complete their 12th standard examination with minimum 45% marks in the respective subject
Candidate’s age should be more than 17 years for applying for the PMU Entrance Exam
For B.Tech:
For 10+2 pattern of examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects: Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology(For B.Tech – Biotechnology; Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
B.Arch (5 years):
International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination
10+2 Scheme of SSC Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as the subject of examination at the 10+2 level.
B.Tech (3 year) Lateral Entry Courses:
Candidates have passed diploma in the respective Engineering or technology discipline / B.Sc., with Mathematics as a subject in HSC level or in degree level with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent

How to Apply (Accelerate Yourself!!)
- The applicants must visit the official website of PMUET for the application process.
- The online application starts from March 2016
- General category candidates need to pay Rs. 600/- for 3 Year & 4 Year B.Tech & 5 Year B.Arch courses (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST category candidates) as application fee
- The last date to fill the application form will be by May 2016
- The registration fees for PMU Entrance Exam where general category candidates need to pay Rs. 600/- for 3 Year & 4 Year B.Tech & 5 Year B.Arch courses (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST category candidates) as
- Application fees though demand draft of application fees drawn in favor of “The registrar, PMU†payable at Thanjavur.
Paper Pattern (Time to show Skills!!)
The medium of examination is English and the duration will be 3 hours
There are 100 multiple choice questions
Questions will be related to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and General Knowledge (GK).
