CBSE UGC NET candidates are anxiously waiting for the official notification for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET). NET is conducted by the CBSE and this year is scheduled to be held on July 8.
The notification was expected to be released on the February 1, but till now has not been published by the CBSE. As per the official website-- cbsenet.nic.in the notification will be released soon.
An update on the website states – “Information bulletin of NET July 2018 will be available soon.”
Candidates who will clear the exam will be eligible for the junior research fellowship or can be considered for the post of assistant professors. From this year, the exam will again be held bi-annually,
Earlier, in a short notification, the board also announced the changes in the exam pattern. Under the new pattern, there will be two exams instead of three. Paper 1 will comprise objective questions to test the teaching abilities, aptitude and approach of candidates towards engaging students. Candidates will be given an hour as opposed to 75 minutes to complete the paper and there will be 50 questions in the paper. In the second paper, candidates will have to attempt 100 questions in two hours.
