CBSE, today, has released the admit cards for the UGC’s National Eligibility Test 2018 (NET). Candidates who have applied for the exam can download their hall tickets from the official website -- cbsenet.nic.in. The exam will be held on July 8. Candidates who will successfully clear the exam will be eligible for the junior research fellowship or will be considered for a post of assistant professor. UGC has raised the upper age limit for the exam from 28 years to 30 years.
On the day of the exam, candidates are required to bring their admit cards and they should also read the instructions carefully on the admit card. In case of any discrepancy in the admit cards, candidates are advised to contact the concerned authority.
Steps to download the UGC NET admit card
- Visit the official website of the UGC as mentioned above
- Click on the link which says ‘Login for Admit Card and Image Correction – NET July 2018’
- Log in to the site by using application number and password
- Download the admit cards and take print out of the same
UGC NET exam pattern
From this year onward, there will only be paper 1 and paper 2.
Paper 1: It will be of 100 marks and will contain 50 objective type compulsory questions. Each question will carry 2 marks and will be of general nature and will test the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate.
Paper 2: It will be of 100 marks and will contain 100 objective type compulsory questions. Each question will carry 2 marks and will be based on the subject opted by the candidate.
