After much waiting, CBSE finally declared the class 10 results on June 3 and with this, the board has declared both major results of class 10 and 12. Students can check their results on the official portal of CBSE which is cbseresults.nic.in. Class 12 results were declared by the board on May 28.
Three important take away from this year's CBSE class 10 results
Boys performed well
According to the gender wise pass percentage boys have done better than girls this year even if it is by a small margin of 0.9 percent. The pass percentage for the boys stood at 93.4 percent this year where as for the girls it was 92.2 percent. In class 12 results girls outshine the boys where girls took the lead by 9.5 percent.
There is a fall in overall pass percentage
Overall pas percentage for the CBSE class 10 fell this year to 90.95 percent from 96.21 percent from last year.
At national level there has been continuing decline in the pass percentage of CBSE board exams since 2014. This year, a total of 90.95 percent of the students who appeared for the exams manages to earn a passing grade which is few points below of 2014 pass percentage which was 98.87 percent and even last year's which was 96.21 percent.
Trivandrum region tops
Trivandrum region has the highest pass percentage of 99.85 percent followed by Chennai and Allahabad which is 99.62 and 98.23 percent. This year Delhi's pass percentage has fallen by 13 percent in comparison to the last year.
