The Sports Gurukul, India's leading private sports and fitness academy, today announced the opening of the registration to the 4th Edition of ISPL - Inter School Premier League which is being organized from the 27th January 2012 to 14th February 2012, for schools across Mumbai. ISPL is the only one of its kind private inter school sports promotion tournament which provides aspiring kids an opportunity to compete and participate with all kinds of schools across Mumbai. In the last 3 years the competition which is amongst 7 sports Cricket, Basketball, Football, Tennis, Table Tennis, Chess and Skating has grown from 15 schools and 700 participants in the first year to 33 top Mumbai International schools and over 1500 participants in the 3rd edition. The last date for schools to register for the team events would be 19th January 2012.

Some of the top schools which have participated earlier were Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Billabong High International Schools, Ajmera Global School, SVKM International School, Singapore International School, Ecole Mondiale, Podar International and many more. This year the target is to get over 100 schools participating at the event across various sports.
The original idea of this event was to provide the new set of International Schools (IB and the IGCSE boards) coming up in the country with a platform to come together on a common platform of sports and showcase their sporting talents. The popularity of the event and the way it is organized has reached such heights that starting this year the event is open to all schools across India and all school boards and will be named INTER SCHOOL PREMIER LEAGUE in its 4th edition. The prize distribution ceremony of the event is a gala program attended by over 800 people every year and this year it is being organized at St. Andrews Auditorium, Bandra.
Some of the celerbrities who graced the prize distribution ceremony last year were Director Imtiaz Ali, Ex-Indian Physio John Gloster and 7 times National Chess Champion Mr. Pravin Thipsey.
This year's edition is being hosted and launched at one of the biggest private sports academy in Mumbai at Wadala Bhakti Park, namely the iLand Sports Academy which hosts a 4 acre Cricket and Football Ground, Basketball Court, 2 Synthetic Tennis courts and Skating rink.
Speaking on the occasion, Founder Director of The Sports Gurukul, Mr. Jay Shah said.
