"No,
syllabus for JEE Main and NEET 2020 exams is the same as was announced
earlier," an official from the National Testing Agency (NTA) said. NTA
issued the statement after some fake reports emerged stating that syllabus for
both the exams has been reduced keeping in mind the hardships students have to
face during the lockdown period.
"Don't
believe the rumors. The syllabus for both NEET and JEE Main examinations
remains the game," the official said.
New dates
for both the exams were announced by the Human Resource Development (HRD)
Ministry yesterday. JEE Main exam will be conducted in July from 18 to 23 and
the NEET exam will be conducted on Tuesday.
"JEE-Mains
will be held from July 18-23, while JEE Advanced will be held in August. NEET
will be conducted on July 26," Mr. Nishank said in an online interaction
with students "A decision will soon be taken on the pending CBSE class 10,
12 board exams," he added.
The NTA has
given the students the option to change their preferred exam center as many of
them moved to different places during the lockdown.
According to
the reports, more than 15 lakh students have registered for the NEET exam and more
than 9 lakh students have registered for the JEE Main exam.
