The Department of Biotechnology ,Ministry of Science and Technology has initiated a collaborative programme to accelerateHIV vaccine discovery research as a Product Development Partnership between Translational Health Service and Technology Institute (THSTI), Gurgaon, Haryana and International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI).
The programme aims to establish innovative high throughput technologies for design of candidate immunogens which would ensure elicitation of broadly neutralizing antibodies against HIV-I.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Shri Ashwani Kumar in a written reply to a question by Shri Manicka Tagore in Lok Sabha today.
