CRY, an NGO which works towards the development of child education across the country has launched its new initiative 'School the spark's which is an initiative introduced to address the issues related to children's education.
Child Rights and You abbreviated as CRY is a non-profit organization like other NGOs in India and aims to restore children's rights. The organization was established in 1979. The organization partners with grass-roots Non-governmental organizations to uplift thousands of Indian children denied basic children's rights. On Thursday, the NGO announced the launch of a new campaign, 'School the Spark'. This initiative will take care of the difficulty faced by less privileged children in obtaining a proper education. The quality of Education is a big issue for the nation, and every organization across the nation plans to play its role in overcoming this issue.
According to the official statistics, this initiative will influence a total of 2,52,293 children in the age group of 6 to 18 years. Atindra Nath Das who is the Regional Director of CRY, said, "Thousands of children in India lack access to education and can't even write their own names. Moreover, children between the ages of 11 to 14 years are hugely vulnerable to dropping out of schools. The first phase of the campaign will ensure that 79,744 children in the age group of 11 to 14 years do not drop out of school and get a chance to recognize, channelize and develop their abilities to their full potential."
It is announced that Sudipto Pal will travel in a 5,000-km Trans-Himalayan cycle ride from Srinagar to Walong in order to spread awareness about the importance of child education and to begin the campaign.
