Due to lockdown in the entire nation, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to promote the students of all classes without exams, an official said on Wednesday. However, the exceptions will be the students of classes 10th and 12th.
The decision was taken by the government late Tuesday evening.
All the schools were shut down by the state government to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 infection. “In view of the lockdown till April 14, it does not seem possible to conduct school exams in near future,” an official said. Therefore, the decision to promote all the students up to class 9 and class 11 has been taken.
“However, a decision would be taken later on exams of some subjects of Classes 10 and 12 being conducted by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) which could not be held due to the lockdown,” he further added.
