The "Praveshanotsavam"-a ceremonial function to welcome the little ones or the first-timers to the world of knowledge - of St Thomas Girls High School, Perumanoor was done today. The school caters to the children from poor and middle class families. Sr. Devotia - Manager, Sr. Linus - HM, Mr. Thomas Nettoor - PTA Presidentt, Ms Elizabeth - Corporation Councilor for Perumanoor ward were present at the function.
Mr. V George Antony, Country Head, UAE Exchange - India and other officials from UAE Exchange including Dr. Ashok Cherian Koshy, Mr Lakshmikanth and Mr Reghupathy were invited as special guests. UAE Exchange donated two YAMAHA Keyboards to the school. Children were really excited about their new musical gift from UAE Exchange, and the atmosphere become celebratory. They can learn music and improve their performance and participate in co-curricular activities like youth festivals.
During his speech Mr. V George Antony offered the school help to develop an online computer library. This proposal brought a lot of cheer and enthusiasm in the children. More than 100 children and their parents were gathered in the meeting.
