The regular inspection of schools, including the surprise inspections to be revived in Himachal Pradesh and an Inspectorate would be set up in Education department to strengthen the inspection wing.
As per Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, a separate wing within the department would be set up for regular inspection of schools in the state to ensure that all schools teach Mathematics, English and Hindi from class I called the Inspectorate of Education. He said this while addressing a public meeting at Baddi in Soland district. Surprise inspections of school would be conducted by Inspectorate of Education to keep a vigil on teachers playing truant.
Singh further said that former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar was a man of principles in sharp contrast to P K Dhumal (after Dhumal failed to dethrone him and with help of a central BJP leader). Now Dhumal was trying to pin him down by misusing the central investigating agencies.
He alleged that they are pressuring the central investigating agencies to probe the assets of my family members and trying to defame me. Stating about his work, he said that as far as the development in Baddi- Barotiwala was concerned, works worth Rs 45 crore were in progress. He has all kinds' permissions like change of land use and planning permissions had been made online for prompt disposal.
Agreeing to Singh's story, Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri alleged that BJP was playing cheap politics to defame him and his family but they would not succeed in their motives. NDA government conducted the CBI raids at his residence at his daughter's marriage and on the occasion of Holi the Enforcement Directorate (ED), got the property of his family attached in New Delhi, which was a "cheap" move of Central leaders of the BJP.
