The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for the registration for the UGC NET 2018 exam. The last date for the registrations now is April 12, 2018.
Candidates who have not registered for the exam can do so by visiting the official website-- cbsenet.nic.in.
The last date to submit the fee is April 13, 2018.
Candidates who will clear the exam will be eligible for the post of assistant professor or can be considered for the junior research fellowship.

Under the new pattern, from this year UGC NET will have only two papers-- paper 1 and paper 2.
Paper 1-- Paper 1 will consist of 100 marks and will have 50 objective questions in total. The exam will test the candidates in teaching/research aptitude. The duration of the exam will be one hour (9:30 am to 10:30 am)
Paper 2-- Paper 2 will consist 100 questions for a total of 100 marks and candidates will have two hours to attempt all the questions (11 am to 1 pm)
