The RAA (Rashtriya Aavishkar Abhiyan) is expected to propel the students belonging to the age group of 6-18 years in the field of Mathematics, Science and Technology by taking up activities such as drawing, model formation and other, both internally and externally to the classroom.
It is aimed at imparting a spirit of innovation amongst the school going children by pushing the institutes of higher education to help the elementary and secondary schools with the progress in Mathematics and Science.
The activities of the RAA would be funded by the institutions and the existing schemes under the Ministry of HRD.
This information was put on the floor of the Upper House (Rajya Sabha) by the Union HRD Minister, Smt Smriti Irani.
