With the college registration and application process going on in full swing across the country, bulk of the focus is on the famed Delhi University. Rated as the top arts and science University in the country, it seems applications in lakhs, and this year is no different.
Till Wednesday, as many as 2 lakh students had applied for admission in Delhi University with over 1 lakh of them completing the entire process after processing the payment and submitting the required documents. Of the total 1,05,482 that have completed their registration 51,661 are males and 53,815 are females. The remaining six candidates are from the other gender.
According to the University, at the end of week one of registrations, as many as 73,280 OBC non-creamy candidates had applied for the University while the persons with disability accounted for more than 550 applications.
The last date of online registrations is June 19, 2016.
Just to be clear to the candidates, the Delhi University does not work on first come first serve basis so the ones filling the application at the earliest do not hold any advantage. However, it would be highly advised to not leave this till the last few days since there can be unforeseen issues at the last moment.
