The results for the NEET 2017 exam were declared by the CBSE on June 23 and students of Punjab who are now competing for the seats for MBBS and BDS are eligible to apply online on the health ministry website. The counseling for the NEET exam 2017 began on Monday.
The candidates can apply for the same on the website of the university, which is www.bfuhs.ac.in latest by July 11. The all-India schedule for the medical counseling has been released by the medical counseling committee on its official website at websitemcc.nic.in
Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has released the counseling schedule and will conduct the combine counseling of all the colleges, including private and minority.
Dr. Raj Bahadu, vice-chancellor of the BFUHS told the media that seats will be allotted to the students according to their domicile. He further told that in case if a student with a domicile of other state does his class 12 from Punjab then the student is eligible for the seat in Punjab. This year, more than 11 lakh students registered for the NEET exam including the 1522 NRIs, 480 OCIs, 70 POs and 613 foreigners.
About the exam
NEET is organized by the CBSE for giving admissions to the students in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses in India, which are run by the approval of Medical/Dental council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
