Admission process in the Mumbai First Year Junior College (FYJC) is going on in order to fill the vacant seats.
Some details
- 70000 students applied for the new round
- Total vacant seats are more than 1.04 lakh.
- 60000 students did not claim the allotted to them.
- 33,146 seats were unable to fill because they were in the less-know colleges.
BB Chavan, deputy director of education, Mumbai told, "Students are unhappy with their allotted seats and so we expected large numbers in this round."
Chavan said "We reviewed the situation on Tuesday and the centres reported that it is under control, they didn't get any major complaints after the first day."
Chavan further added "The exact number of unfilled seats available in the second phase will be clear after students confirm admissions in the ongoing first phase."
