The Mathematics Examination of the Class XII Board was tough this year. However the students found the economics examination balanced as it was application based and according to the NCERT syllabus and guidelines.
It was not a numerical based paper which somehow helped the students who are not efficient in it.
It met up the expectations of the students and the teachers. The students are expecting a good score. The mathematic examination had increased the anxiety of the students.
An economics teacher from the Mount Abu Public School, Rohini said that the value based questions were also easily handled by the students.
According to Another economics teacher Sukham Kanwar from the Presidium in Ashok Vihar the paper had both direct and higher order thinking questions. With 35 % application based questions the overall difficulty level was 20%.
The students have different perceptions of the examination. To Yasmin Bajwa of Bloom Public School the paper was manageable whereas Tushar Vij, a DPS Dwarka student found the paper 'weird' but not difficult.
Although the questions looked easy but there were lesser direct questions increasing the possibility of mistakes.
Also the question on Jan Dhan Yojana was a tricky one as it had no direct connection with the increase in national income as was mentioned in it.
