Few days earlier, Maharashtra board sated that for the upcoming exams of HSC and SSC in 2018 students will neither be allowed to enter nor to leave once the exam has commenced. For coming up with new entry-exit rules the board received severe criticism and issued a note on Monday, in which it clarified that students will be allowed to enter in the exam hall only under severe conditions.
In a press note, board admitted that till year students were allowed to enter in the exam hall till 11:30 am but keeping the recommendations of the experts in mind and to prevent the incidents of copying, the board decided to ban the facility.
The press release states that students are expected to reach the exam center by 10:30 am and will be allowed till 11:00 am but not beyond that.
For its earlier notification, the state education department received a lot of heat as it mentioned a new entry-exit policy without mentioning any provisions for the students who may get late due to some genuine emergency.
