LAMP (Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament) fellowship is easily one of the most sought after fellowships in the country. Its applications for this year are now coming to a close. The last date to apply is 12th February.
The applications for the 2017-18 academic session of the LAMP fellowship have been invited by PRS legislative research.
The eligibility criteria for applying to this prestigious fellowship is mentioned as below –
·The application must have a bachelor’s degree from a University which is duly recognized by law
·The maximum age of the applicant can be 25 years
·The fellow would be offered a stipend of Rs. 17,000 per month, along with Rs. 3,000 for covering other expenses

About the LAMP Fellowship
As part of the fellowship, the selected candidates would get a chance to work with a member of the parliament for a period of 10 to 11 months. Each year, as many as 40 fellows are selected and well trained in order to prepare them to work with MP from the upper and lower house of the parliament.
The fellows are required to give research inputs to their MPs which would be useful for their duty in the parliament including writing of speeches, participating in several debated and drafting of the private members bill.
