In its recent decision, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has decided to extend its air travel facility to the students of the school, who need to attend/participate in the various national level activities organized by the KVS in different regions of the country.
The first condition to travel by air is that the distance between the KV and destination must be more than 500 km. Second, in case of emergencies such as natural hazards, cancellation of trains, bad weather conditions and non-availability of confirmed tickets in III AC/II AC students will be allowed to go by air.
From time to time, KVS organizes various events on the National scale in the field of art & culture, science and social sciences and to participate in these events, students often have to travel large distances within the country.
The Deputy Commissioner of the concerned KVS region will allow air travel in cases where the cost of air travel is either less or equal to cost of travel by Railway 3 AC/separate Rail Coach fare plus DA thereon of estimated journey period. Teachers and other officials escorting the students on the journey will also be entitled to the journey at par.
