In 2020, NTA has introduced some vital changes in the exam. It is important that applicants are aware of the changes so they can avoid making mistakes during the application process.
One of the most important changes made is that NTA has increased the number of exams from 2 to 3. From 2020, NTA will hold a separate exam for the students who are interested in pursuing a B.Planning program. Paper 3 (B. Planning paper) will have planning based questions just as paper 2 ( B.Arch. course) has drawing-based questions.
JEE Main exam pattern
There are three exams. Each exam is conducted in a computer-based mode for all three papers. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
JEE Main paper 1 is for the students who plan to pursue B.E. or B.Tech. programs. The exam has three sections -- Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Each section will have 20 MCQs and 5 questions with answers as a numerical value.
JEE Mains paper 2 will have three sections -- Mathematics, Aptitude Test, Planning Test. Maths sections will have 20 MCQs and 5 numerical value questions. Aptitude test will have 50 MCQs and there will be 25 planning based MCQs.
