The teachers of JNU have come up with an innovative idea of organizing the 'Khali Classroom' lectures as they decided to continue their protest against the administration of the JNU university.
These lectures will be taught by the faculty members from Centers and Schools in which there isn't even a single admission in MPhil and PhD this year.
Earlier, JNUTA organized a lecture series on 'Azaadi and Nationalism' after the university students were booked for shouting the anti-national
slogans in the aftermath of February 9 controversy.
A detailed charge-sheet will also be framed by the JNUTA against the university's vice-chancellor and his team.
“The JNUTA GBM resolves to undertake a sustained campaign in the Monsoon semester in defense of teachers' rights as employees, the JNU Act, Constitutional values and the realization of Constitutional provisions for reservation, the restoration of admissions to JNU's research programs, and the many other issues that plague the university today,” the JNUTA said in a statement.
“The JNUTA meeting resolves to frame and publicize a detailed charge-sheet that demonstrates the myriad failures of the JNU V-C and his team in managing the affairs of the university,” it added.
Speaking about the lecture series, JNUTA president Kidwai said, “The series will be taught by the Centers, Schools, Special Centers – whose research programs have had zero admissions in the 2017-18 academic year. It will most probably be held after August 14, at several places across the campus”.
