32 students of ‘Kashmir Super 30’ were felicitated by the Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Wednesday.
‘Kashmir Super 30’, on the lines of Bihar Super 30, is a coaching endeavor by the Indian Army under which the army trains the students for the IIT-JEE examination.
A total of 50 students were enrolled under the project of which 32 students successfully cleared the JEE Mains Exam. Of these 32 students, 7 students cleared the JEE advanced exam and made it to the IITs, a statement from the government said.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said “the students have set an example for others to follow and appreciated them for their hard work and focused approach.”
The students also took the moment to express their gratitude to Army, Petronet LNG Limited (PLL) and Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL) as they all supported them in their efforts.
Singh said that earlier, students of the remote areas used to be at disadvantage but now with the latest technology latest information is available to them and there is no shortage of the study material and this has immensely helped the students of the remote areas in achieving their dreams.
