“Interviews for the post of Director for 6 IIM’s were held
recently and the search cum selection committee has given their recommendations
to the HRD Ministry” said an official spokesperson from HRD Ministry.
“Interviews for Director’s post for IIM Kozhikode and
Udaipur are still pending and these too will be conducted soon”, the
spokesperson added. Advertisement in this regard has already been issued.
The IIM’s for which the interviews were conducted are
Ranchi, Bengaluru, Nagur, Sambalpur, Rohtak and Raipur.
The search cum selection committee has given their
recommendations for each of the above institutes.
The final decision for the selection would be taken by
Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC).
The post of Director is lying vacant in 13 IIM’s and the
process of appointing the Director is in the advanced stage.
The IIM’s were the post of Director is vacant are:
Banglore, Nagpur, Kozhikode, Amritsar, Sirmaur, Rohtak, Bodh
Gaya, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Raipur, Udaipur, Visakhapatnam and Tiruchirappalli.
