Essel Mining Industries, with a vision to enhance the livelihood opportunities for the underprivileged, have joined hands with InSkills to catalyze the process of development of the people spread around their project site at Barbil and Joda region in Keonjhar district. The first batch of students sponsored by Essel Mining for employability linked training by InSkills was recently completed successfully with placement at various industries in south India. Benefitted students spoke about the intervention -"this training has equipped us with the skills for meaningful employment & has made us to dream big, we are looking forward to work & improved life".
This is a part of a long-term initiative taken by Essel Mining with InSkills as their training partner for training and placement of both unskilled (school drop-outs) and semi-skilled persons from the Joda-Brabil region. Under their CSR initiative, Essel Mining has identified the youth and motivated them to undergo a unique training program conducted by InSkills which is directly linked to job placement.
InSkills is emerging as a leading player in vocational skills training with a footprint in East, North-east and South of India - and a strong network in different parts of Odisha. InSkills plans to impart training to 1.6 million youth over next 10 years in areas like Construction, Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Healthcare, Retail, Agri etc.
To commemorate the completion of successful training program, an event was organized at HDF School of Management where representatives from both the Industry and Skill Knowledge Providers were present. Starting with handing over certificates and experience sharing by participants, the event was concluded with Life Talk by Dr Dhanada Kanta Mishra, Director - InSKills and Mr Biswajeet Behuria, Manager, CSR, Essel Mining - where they stressed about the challenges and embedment of goals in individual's life to achieve the dreams. The event was attended by other senior officials of Essel Mining and InSkills.
