In a significant move IIT (Indian
Institute of Technology), Kharagpur, has bans about 8 start ups for taking part
in their campus recruitment drive. The move was taken since these start ups
backed out of the job offers last year.
Debasis Dev, institute’s
placement chairman said in a statement that “The startups had withdrawn or
cancelled the offers last year, so they are not visiting the campus for the
recruitment drive”.
IITs across India have banned
more than 31 startups from taking part in the recruitment drive.
IIT-K placement chairman added
that “As many as 10-12 startups would be taking part in this year’s campus
placement.
