A MoU was signed between the Gujarat Centre of Excellence, NASSCOM and IIT- Gandhinagar (IIT-Gn) under which IIT-Gn will set up a center of excellence for the IoT (Internet of Things). The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at a function at IIt-Gn.
Speaking on the occasion, Rupani said “setting up center is a matter of proud for Gujarat.”
He further said that “such centers of excellence for the internet of things are there in developed countries which would be available in Gujarat as well, augmenting latter's competitiveness.”
This is one of the five centers set up by the Government of India with the objective of promoting and encouraging the innovation in the start-ups by the young entrepreneurs. The center will operate under the guidance of the experts from NASSCOM and IIT-Gn.
The facility will felicitate the designing of the digital solutions for the new age industries. On the occasion of signing the MoU, NASSCOM President Debjani Ghosh, Gujarat Government's Science & Technology Secretary Dhananjay Trivedi, Chief Minister's Secretary Ashwini Kumar, and senior officers were present.
