IILM College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida students ranked 1st in Asia level and stood 1st amongst the Indian teams at the 20th Annual Great Moon buggy Race organized by NASA held at Huntsville, Alabama, at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center on April 10 - 12, 2014.
The students of IILM Engineering College achieved an esteemed international academic success. A team of five meritorious students of Mechanical and Electrical engineering department secured success to develop new vistas in the field of world space academic challenge.
The team was invited by NASA, the most prestigious space association of the United States of America to perform on the theme and objective of NASA. Students presented the prototype “Human powered vehicle called “Moon-Baggi” under the title of “NASA rover challenge”.
Total 97 teams from different countries of Asia and Europe participated in this event and the team of IILM Greater Noida secured the 21st rank. Among Asian countries IILM was on the top and received a trophy in Davidson hall of Marshal space center. Final year students Awatansh Srivastava, Astha Singh, Lalit, Anshu and Brijesh were a part of the IILM team.
IILM faculty members and staff provided relentless support to make this event a great success. The faculty members, staff and fellow students are proud of this achievement.
