The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced
the release of admit cards of the prestigious examination of the nation, Indian
Administrative Services (IAS) Examination. Admit cards for preliminary stage
have been released and the examination will be conducted on August 7, 2016.
The Indian Administrative Service is the premier-administrative civil service of the Government of India. IAS officers
hold key and strategic positions in the Union Government, States and
public-sector undertakings. This examination is conducted by Union Public
Service Commission (UPSC). Unlike Candidates selected to other civil services,
a person once appointed to Indian Administrative Service or Indian Foreign
Service (IFS) becomes ineligible to reappear in Civil Services Examination
conducted by Union Public Service Commission because other than aforementioned
two services there are no higher civil services under Government of India.
The Civil Services Examination, 2016, is a
three-stage examination:
"·Civil Services (Prelim) Examination
"·Civil Services (Main) Examination
"·Personality Test (Interview)

Candidates can follow
the steps mentioned below to download UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam Admit Card
2016:
(i)Visit the official website of UPSC.
(ii)Click on the link 'e-Admit Card Civil
Services (Prelims) Examination, 2016"².
(iii)Enter your registration number, date
of birth and click on submit
(iv)The e-admit card will be displayed on
the computer screen.
(v)Download, Save and take a printout of
it for further reference.
The
candidates are requested to keep the requisite details handy while downloading
the admit card. It is also suggested to save a copy for future reference. For
