HYDERABAD: The University of Hyderabad has
received 1,053 applications for filling up 114 teaching posts. In a statement
on Sunday, the Hyderabad Central University revealed that the recruitment
process will start from 1st of November for the faculty positions of Professor,
Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.
The University of Hyderabad also revealed
that it had advertised these posts nationally and in response the advertisement
for 114 open positions, 1,053 applications have been received by the University.
According to the statement, "There are
30 (vacant) positions for Professor, 43 for Associate Professor and 41 for
Assistant Professor in various schools and departments of the university. Of
these positions, 64 are under the reserved categories and the rest 50 in the
general category."
The statement also declared that a large
number of candidates, having postdoctoral experience in prestigious
institutions in India as well as abroad, have applied for these posts.
The filling up of these open positions is
being envisaged as a great step towards strengthening the academic and research
programmes of the Central University. The interviews for the respective posts
will begin from 1st November and it is expected that the entire process would
be completed by December-end.
