GPAT is a national level exam which is conducted every year by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Candidates who have registered are now preparing for the test which is scheduled for January 21, 2018. The registration process for the exam is now over and the test will be conducted in various cities which have been listed on the official website of the GPAT.
Following are the details about the exam:
- The exam is conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
- The exam is scheduled for January 21, 2018
- The release date for the admit cards has not been announced yet
- Exam will have 125 questions carrying 500 marks. Correct answer will give candidates 4 marks and for each wrong answer there will be one mark will be deducted.
- Total time for the test will be 180 minutes
- The exam will be conducted in Computer Based mode

Physical Chemistry: Composition and physical states of matter, Colligative Properties, Thermodynamics, Refractive index, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Ionic equilibrium and Kinetics
Organic Chemistry: General principles, Different classes of compounds, Protection and deprotection of groups, Aromaticity and chemistry of aromatic compounds, Different aromatic classes of compounds, Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, Carbonyl Chemistry, Heterocyclic Chemistry, Bridged rings, Kinetic and thermodynamic control, Stereochemistry, Carbohydrates, Amino acids and proteins and Pericyclic reactions
