Twenty-day long foundation courses on subjects such as digital cinematography, screenplay writing, and screen acting have been launched by the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). All the courses have been launched in association with the GH Raisoni College of Engineering, and the GH Raisoni University.
According to the FTII, these courses are being held for the first time in the Vidarbha region and are part of the Skilling India in Film and Television (SKIFT) program of the government of India.
As of now, 71 people ranging from the age of 18 to 61 are taking part in these courses. The participants are from 19 states and union territories including the most extreme states of Assam and Tamil Nadu.
The attendees of the course have different professional background apart from being professionals in films and are trying to upgrade on the latest trends in film and screenwriting.
