On Republic Day a new National Education Policy was launched. The consultation process to frame the policy is expected to finish off till December.'
The consultation process will be finally completed after the draft report is reviewed by the various stakeholders and the Central Advisory Board.
As the educational policy is very important for the future of the nation this new Educational Policy has an immense value.
A state meeting headed by Smriti Irani, was held by the ministers and their secretaries. The meeting discussed the issues of the New Education Policy and it has been decided that more than 25 lakh consultation meetings will be held at the village level.
Also 6600 meetings at the block level, 626 at district level and 3500 in urban local bodies will be held.
As the policy will be extensive it is mandatory for the government to set up a separate task force for drafting the policy.
The issues regarding the school education system reforms and the consequences of abolishing the Class X Board will be discussed in the meeting.
Also another topic of concern will be the additional reforms that will help in assessing the students better.
A debatable subject matter of the meeting will be regarding the three language formula that aims to promote languages.
Whether education should be imparted in mother tongue and also the difficulties if the education system adopts a multi lingual- approach will be also be discussed.
