To keep a check on the unrealistic cut-offs by the colleges due to marks inflation by various boards, the DU admission committee will discuss the matter with the principals of colleges.
Among the recommendation, the university is also mulling over the idea to introduce computer-based online tests for admissions into all UG and PG programs.
DU is also brainstorming various ideas which will cut-down the long procedure of the counseling and fill most of the seats. The idea of introducing the centralized online counseling system is also on the table.
Last year, DU came up with 11 cut-off lists through which it offered around 56,000 seats in colleges in various UG courses and admission process took two months to complete.
The DU will also give 2 percent benefit to OBC women on the cut-off and will establish a special admission cell through which it will offer the help and assistance to the students from north-eastern states.
