Getting admission into DU is a tough task as it is and now, to make things more difficult, the University is pondering over the idea to come up with the aptitude test for the students who are not from CBSE board. The exam will be conducted for offering the admissions into the various undergraduate degrees.
According to the admission board of the University, conducting an aptitude test for the students from other board will address the "disparity in the marks" which students faced due to the moderation policy followed by most of the boards.
According to the official "a sub-committee has been discussing the idea for some day now and will send its recommendations to the University after it finalizes its plans in the next meeting."
Till now, the University conducts entrance test for the select few colleges. Conducting an aptitude test for more than 3 lakh students will be a challenging task even for the Delhi University. According to the officials, since University has never conducted an entrance test on such a large scale, it lacks both manpower and infrastructure for such an exercise.
