Second cut-off list for the admissions in various colleges of the prestigious Delhi University is likely to be announced today.
As the admissions for the first round were over, colleges plan to release the second cut-off list. According to the sources, the second list will also witness high cutoff as the colleges will stick to dip ranging from 0.25-1% in the cutoffs for admission.
Principal of Kirori Mal College Dinesh Khattar said, "My college has already filled 600 seats out of a total of 1,385. Seats in History (Hons), BSc (Programme) Physical Sciences and Sanskrit (Hons) are almost full. So the dip in cut-off will be marginal."
Principal of Daulat Ram College, Savita Roy said, "has only 505 seats left across courses, including few in Biochemistry (Honors), Zoology (Honors) and BA (Programme). In my college, cut-off will come down by a maximum of 1%. The dip will be marginal in sought-after courses." She also mentioned that the number of vacant seats may increase as students withdraw to join other colleges when the second round of admissions begins Tuesday.
According to official sources, Indraprastha College for Women has completely filled up its seats in History Honors and Hindu College and Sri Venkateswara College also may not release with a second list for Political Science Honors, as the seats are filled. It is also said that as the seats for various disciplines are not filled, therefore, popular colleges such as Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Lady Shri Ram College, Hansraj College and Ramjas College have said that a second list will also be displayed.
