The prestigious Delhi University is set to release its first cut-off list for undergraduate courses. The list will be displayed on the website late on Wednesday.
To check the cutoff lists, the candidates can log in to the admissions portal of the university's official website. According to sources, a total of 2,50,914 lakh students has registered for admissions in various disciplines of the university. The sharp rise in cutoffs of colleges is expected. This year, students of the CBSE board have performed very well in 12th Board examination as a minimum number of 90,000 students have scored more than 90 percent in the examination. Due to a high number of registrations, even the cutoff of the off-campus colleges will also see a sharp rise in cutoffs for various undergraduate courses. These off-campus colleges are now keeping up with the on-campus colleges as the number of registrations has increased rapidly.
According to an English news daily, the cutoff's for B.A. (Honors) English course received a maximum number of applications, i.e. 1,15,786 followed by B.A. programme with over 98,000 applications and B.A. (Honors) Political Science jumps the 90,000 mark.
