The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the admit cards for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2018. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now visit the official website-- jeemain.nic.in and download their respective admit cards.
The offline exam (pen and paper) is scheduled on April 8, 2018 and the online exam (CBT) is scheduled on April 15 and April 16, 2018.
Steps to download the admit cards
- Visit the official website as mentioned above
- Click on the link for the download admit card
- In the form provided, enter your application number, password and security pin in the prescribed format
- Click on the login button
- Your card will be displayed on the screen
- Download your admit card and take the print out of the same
Students are required to report to the exam venue at least two-and-a-half hours before the start of the examination.The admit card contains important details like exam centre, time, name, date of birth, gender, state code of eligibility and category. In case of any discrepancy, communicate to JEE (Main) Secretariat/ CBSE immediately for necessary action.
For a candidate to be eligible for the JEE Mains exam he has to score at least 75 percent in class 12 exams or secure a place among the top 20 percentile of the boards. For the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category the limit has been lowered to 65 percent.
After clearing the JEE Mains and Advanced exam candidates will be eligible for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) courses at Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) across India.
