Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) is now accepting the applications from the eligible students for the Chinese Government Scholarship 2019-20. The last date to apply for the scholarship is March 11, 2019. The medium of instruction for the course will be Chinese therefore, the selected candidates will have to go through official training in the Chinese language before they can commence the study in their relevant subject.
The duration of Chinese Language Course will be of one year.
Scholarships are being offered by the Chinese government in the following programs:
- Undergraduate programs
- Master's programs
- Doctoral programs
- General Scholar program
- Senior Scholar program
Eligibility criteria
Undergraduate programs: Applicants must have passed class 12th exams and must be under the age of 25 years
Master’s Programs: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and must be under the age of 35 years
Doctoral programs: Applicants must have a Master’s degree and must be under the age of 40 years
General Scholar program: Applicants must be under the age of 45 years and must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study when applying for general scholar programs
Senior Scholar programs: Applicant must have a Master’s degree or should be an associate professor (or above) under the age of 50 at the time of applying for senior scholar programs.

Applicants interested in applying can apply through the Ministry of Human
Resource Development (MHRD) portal http://proposal.sakshat.ac.in/scholarship. They are also required to apply online simultaneously on China’s Scholarship Council website at csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or campuschina.org.
