On its official website, CBSE has confirmed that it will conduct the board exams of class 10 and 12 in the month of March.
In this regard, the board has released a statement in which it said that it will conduct the AISSE and AISSCE examinations in the month of March, 2018 for secondary and senior level.
It further said "to ensure that quality and error free evaluation of the answer booklets, the Board requires a large number of experienced and trained teachers to complete the entire process in a time bound manner."
Earlier the reports were that the in order to make the evaluation of the answer sheets error-free the board is planning to pre-pone the exams by a month. Now, CBSE is planning to finish the exams within a month's time in order to give teachers more time to evaluate the sheets. At present, the exams begin in March and ends in third week of April.
Instructions issued to the CBSE affiliated school
- Schools should make sure that all the teachers (for classes 9 to 12) for all the subjects must register themselves on the examination portal and fill the teachers database.
- Teachers which are recognized by the CBSE for the evaluation purpose must be relieved by the schools for the same.
- Teachers identified for the evaluation of the sheets should not be give any extra work from the school so that they can solely focus on the evaluation of the answer sheets.
- It must be made sure that all the teachers have undergone requisite training for pre- evaluation as mandated by CBSE.
