CAT 2016 results declared

The results for the much awaited CAT 2016 exam have been declared on January 9. More than 1.95 lakh candidates appeared for the Common Admission Test (CAT) which was conducted on December 4. IIM Bangalore declared that it will publish on its website, iimb.ernet.in, the list of candidates shortlisted for personal interview, later in the evening.

CAT 2016 saw 20 candidates, all male, scoring overall 100 percentile.

Professor Rajendra K Bandi, Convener, CAT 2016, stated, "However, in the sectionals, many non-engineers and female candidates have scored 100 percentile."

Candidates received text messages, mentioning their overall percentile while the results were also announced on the CAT website www.iimcat.ac.in.

"The untiring support of the CAT Committee, comprising admissions chairpersons of IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode and IIM Lucknow, and the tremendous hard work by the CAT 2016 Secretariat at IIM Bangalore played a big role in enabling us to declare the results on schedule," Prof. Bandi said.
