The highlight however was the quality assurance from Barco to its partners and the commitment to provide the best of customer service support in the country. The information and details of the customer support department was also shared during the one day workshop in both the cities. The event was a big success and was attended by some of the prominent names from the Radiology fraternity of India. Digitization of the Images requires certain DICOM standard to be met there by ensuring consistent image quality and diagonstic confidence. The common voice was that we need to set the standards for the use of Displays for PACS, softcopy reporting and other imaging applications.
Radiologist also raised concerns about reporting on substandard displays, which in turn results in eye fatigue and chances of making wrong diagnosis. The hands on session gave every one a chance to experience Barco patented Iguard technology and also show the practical advantages of the ULT ( Uniform Luminance Technology ) and the unique features of the Coronis Fusion Displays.
Barco will continue to organise such information sessions in future to overall improve the quality of healthcare services and diagnosis through its state of art medical displays.
