A student from Mumbai who secured 99.6 marks in the board exams won't be getting the college of her choice because while filling the application form she made an error because of which she now won't be getting the admission into the First Year Junior College (FYJC) of her choice.
While the girl from Mumbai scored 99.6 marks in the SSC exams but, due to her unawareness about the admission process, she marked the preference for Thakur College whereas she wanted to take the admission in the NM College (Vile parle).
According to the reports from HT, "Having scored 99.6 per cent, the girl could have easily secured admission to any college, but she made a mistake in her application form, which cannot be corrected now," said a senior education officer, addressing admission-related grievances.
Suggestions to avoid errors in the application form while filling
- Before filling the form make sure to read all the related instructions carefully.
- Write your details and preferences on the paper first and double check them before filling the form.
- Now, fill the application form with the same information, which you have written and checked on the paper.
