From January 4, 52nd Annual Conference of The Indian
Econometric Society will be held at Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode's
campus. It's for three days.
A release was issued by IIM-Kozhikode stating that Professor
Roy Batchelor, Cass Business School, London will deliver the inaugural speech
at this platform. This conference will be attended by 300 research scholars and
academics who will be presenting their papers.
It's a prestigious
event as it collaborates economists and econometricians across the world to
share their research with each other. Delhi School of Economics' director
Professor Pami Dua will be the president of the Conference.
Other attendees and speakers at the conference are Professor
Subhash Ray, University of Connecticut, USA; Rana Kapoor, Managing Director and
CEO RPT managing director and CEO of Yes Bank; and Professor BB Bhattacharya,
former vice chancellor of JNU.
The release also stated that Indian Econometric Society has
2000 members across the country as its one of the oldest and largest bodies of
professional econometricians and economists. It has been working in the field
of econometric methodology and applications.
