An Indian- American professor has been named as the Dean of University of North Texas College of Information in the U.S.
Dr. Kinshuk who is a renowned professor academician has done a whole lot of work in the field of science and technology. He received his doctoral degree from a renowned institute of England named as De Montfort University, before this he has also completed Master of Science from Strathclyde University in Scotland and a bachelor's degree (mechanical engineering) from University of Rajasthan in India.
Before becoming the dean of this prestigious University. He has many feathers in his cap as since 2010 he was working as an associate dean in the renowned university of Canada, named as Athabasca University in Alberta.
As an associate dean he has completed various position of responsibility in the University of Canada. He had motivated the noted alumni to serve as a mentor for students. Started many graduate programs as well as build up various strategies pertaining to the student recruitment program.
Dr. Kinshuk had also worked as a former Director in the School of Computing and Information Systems. Apart from this he has also served as Industrial Research Chair in Informatics for the National Science and Engineering Council of Canada.
"Dr. Kinshuk brings with him great leadership and research experience," Finley Graves, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at UNT, stated in a statement.
"We look forward to Dr. Kinshuk working with our faculty to articulate a clear vision for the future of the College of Information."
The new responsibility will be handed over to Dr. Kinshuk on August 15.
"I'm really looking forward to joining such a progressive university and my esteemed new colleagues. I know the College of Information has high expectations and I hope to meet them and raise those even more," said Dr. Kinshuk.
Dr. Kinshuk worked as a Research Fellow for the German National Research Centre for Information Technology in St. Augustin, Germany.
He has served the diverse responsibility in his career comprises of Director of the Advanced Learning Technologies Research Centre, as well as an Associate Professor, and before that, a Senior Lecturer.
