For the Srinagar center, the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) has been rescheduled. The exam is scheduled for August 24 and 25 for the rest of the nation.
"Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 02/2019 at exam centers in Srinagar (J&K) on 24 & 25 Aug 19 has been rescheduled," tweeted Indian Air Force. It further said that new dates for the Srinagar exam will be notified shortly.
The exam has been rescheduled as many candidates are facing difficulty in downloading the hall tickets for the exam due to the conditions prevailing in Srinagar.
Since August 5, internet and mobile services have been suspended in the valley.
"Due to the prevailing situation, the candidates are not able to download their hall tickets for the examination and the decision has been taken to postpone the examination for the convenience of candidates who have been allotted Srinagar center," news agency PTI quoted a statement issued by the IAF said.
The examination at the Leh and Jammu centers will be held as per the schedule. The test is conducted twice every year for all entries of Indian Air Force other than National Defence Academy (NDA) and Combined Defence Services Exam.
