It seems like the engineering aspirants in the country would have to wait a bit longer to get into the premier engineering institutes. Sit tight for IIT and NIT competitors gets longer even as the CBSE neglected to discharge the JEE (Main) positions for paper-I and paper II till Monday evening.
The Joint Seat Allocation process for admissions to IITs and NITs must be delayed by a day.
This is the second amendment in the calendar in the most recent one week.
The procedure was to begin on Monday. A crisp calendar was set up on Monday evening on jeeadv.iitb.ac.in.
The procedure will now begin from June 30 and students will get five days to fill their choices on the web.
More than 13 lakh students should be a piece of the procedure for admissions to 34,000 seats in 85 establishments.
This is the first year that IITs were wanting to have a joint process alongside NITs, IIITs and other midway financed specialized organizations.
The joint seat distribution procedure was to begin on June 25, according to the first timetable. This deferral may prompt a postponement in the begin of the scholarly session at IITs.
