Due to poor statistics of admissions in technical courses including engineering, directorate technical education (DTE). It is announced that an additional round of counseling for engineering courses will be conducted.
According to a DTE official "Additional counseling round will be for all technical courses. For bachelor of engineering courses, additional counseling round will start from August 6.After first two rounds, around 27,000 seats are filled. There are around 78,000 seats in engineering courses at different colleges across the state. DTE will organize counseling for bachelor of architecture (BArch) course from August 1.Similarly, additional counseling round for bachelor of pharmacy (B.Pharma), hotel management, master of pharmacy (M Pharma) and non-PPT will start from August 1."
A notification was released that, after the closure of the ongoing counseling on July 30. Additional round of counseling would be conducted. Sources said, "For MCA including lateral entry, additional round will be from August 5. For MBA also, counseling will be from August 5. For PPT, additional round will be from August 11. For MTech, counseling rounds will kick off from August 11. Earlier, two rounds of counseling were announced. This year counseling started from June 6. Higher authorities are in no mood to conduct college level counseling (CLC), which has been discontinued from this year."
