NCERT
recently, in consultation with the defense ministry has decided that it will
feature in its books, chapters on the unsung heroes of the nation i.e. twenty-one
war heroes of the country who have been awarded Param Vir Chakra, the highest
military honor.
On
Monday, HRD minister, Smriti Z Irani informed that The National Council for
Education Research and Training (NCERT) has begun working on a supplementary
reader. It will be about stories of Param Vir Chakra awardees.
Irani also confirmed that in consultation with
the ministry of defense, NCERT has taken measures to publish a supplementary
reader. It will be titled as 'Veer Gatha: Stories of Param Vir Chakra
Awardees'.
Under
the Central Board of Secondary Education's scheme of
improvement/compartment/full subject categories, it has started accepting
online application from private students for classes X and XII CBSE Board
Examination-2016. This was said in a written reply by Irani.
